Unhappy Ink & Leather

Yes, I did something stupid. Do you folks know of a good way to get ink off of leather? I got pen on my door. (And yes, I did a search and couldn't spot anything.)

Thanks!

Depending on the type of pen, 90% rubbing alcohol will take it off nicely. If it's a gel pen, you're pretty much fubar'ed...

Put a generous amount of Vaseline on the spot.
Take a cloth and spray it with hairspray.
Rub the cloth gently on the ink spot.

May discolor leather! Do a test first in an unnoticeable area!

Hair spray has been recommended here and elsewhere in the past. I took some to a customer's SUV with a Q-Tip and it worked well. Part of the solution is to get at it as quick as you can.

(Bruno beat me to the post but added the vaseline trick - hadn't heard of that but I will try it next chance I get)

I'm impressed. The rubbing alcohol (without lots of rubbing) got 85%+ of the line outta there! Thanks!
