December allocation

If I was to get a December allocation, approximately when would the car arrive in the U.S.?

I' think the factories are closed in December for the holidays, but I am not 100 percent sure if it is the entire month, hopefully someone else can chime in.

Otherwise it takes in the neighborhood of 6 weeks from start of production to the car being at your dealer for the east coast and 7-8 for west coast.

I called my dealer to get the "lowdown" on the 1M coupe. They said they had only 1 on order. The delivery was not until December 2011. That tells me BMW has to plan a slot for the 1M coupe and also there so few being built to start with.

I found a dealer that has a December allocation available.

My allocation is in October so does that mean pumpkin orange is a must?

Sorry, I just looked it up and it closes for about half of December and then about 1-2 weeks of January for the holidays. For 2010-2011 it was closed Dec 18th - Jan 10th
