issues with DE/Track events with our 1M's?

i was just reading up on the N54 motor under the 3 & 1 series track & autox fourms. It seems that a great deal of these N54 cars are having serious issues on the track when it comes to over heating and extreme oil temps. I know the M guys have changed the plumbing on this new 1M however do you think we will be running into similar issues? I plan on doing a great deal of track driving and rather not be buying this car to open up a can of worms.

Whats your thoughts?

I would hope that with all the Upgrades made by ///M, those issues would not arise.

from what i have been reading it looks like they have but i would love to see how they hold up in a real world situation. i cant wait for a few people to start tracking the hell out of these things. i am very curious as to how this will all play out.

I tracked the hell out of my 135 with the N54. It has 25k miles and is around 4 years old. I did so on crappy oil, on a hot day, and it held up very well. The oil temps never got very high. I feel like it never got much above 280, if at all.

I've never had temp issues at autox. Just open the hood between runs on the hottest of days and you're fine
