335i - What's it worth?
Looking at swapping my car
Any ideas as to what mine is worth - chap at the local car auction said approx 14k? Spec as per sig, 07 plate, 33000 miles. No mods. Fairly good condition in general. The wheels are slightly scuffed as I attempted to use the car in the snow a couple of years back but on the whole ok for age/mileage. I don't seem to have has any cracking issues with the wheels Thanks

£14k would be an auction-type price - a private sale would yield more.

I'm always too late,I'd have had this like a shot had it been a week ago I've just bought a less spec'd SE for 15k with higher mileage. It has to be worth around the 18k mark.I'll swap my lightly modded one for it

It's a company car, not quite sure what the fleet manager is going to do with it yet though. They usually just send them to auction.
Been speaking to a garage now about part-ex. They were offering 15.5 & said they would sell for 17+. I don't think I will be doing that deal though, looking at a diff one now. 14k just seemed cheap to me, but that's auction prices I guess. If it does go to the auction I'll give you guys the heads up - sounds like someone maybe in for a good deal Hoping to sort out a replacement next month

I would say over 18k easily. I see 335i SE 06 with same or slightly lower spec / same miles going for £20k at Birds quite a lot and they are selling them like hot cakes. They sold 5 in 2 weeks to put things in perspective. They would probably look to sell yours at around 21-22k so if you factor in a 2k dealership markup price I would say that's a more realistic price. The market may be bad for cars that burn more fuel right now but there is people out there who really want these still. Tons of e46 m3 owners switching to it since they heard about the tuning capabilitys. In the last month or so iv seen about 10 people on m3cutters buy a 335i and they are all looking for cars like yours.

Petrol is the only way!
I test drove the 335d & 335i before I got mine. The d was about as fast, and more economical, but lacking in (primarily noise induced) "grin factor" I'm thinking V8 time, before the ecomentalists get them banned or priced off the road

Prices of the petrol are going down big time. I have just picked up a 2005 330i SE 52k on it with loads of goodies for 7k!! serious amount of car for the money.

Hi RJS, I could be interested in this but I need to have a car prior to end of May as that is when my 118d goes back.
I am local to you so happy to meet up or even make an offer to your fleet manager direct, save all the auction hassle. Let me know your thoughts Regards John |

If all goes to plan I'll get a new car next week, so my current one should be sold soon after. It's booked in for an MOT tomorrow as well
