335i M-Sport 335is style diffuser confirmed?
hello,
this is my first post and i placed an order for a 335i convertible M-Sport and could not find any information confirming the new style diffuser for the M-Sport package. If anyone has any pictures or information please share it thank you. |

Not the same
Here's my 2011 M-Sport bumper/diffuser.
Not the same as the 335is diffuser. Congrats on the purchase, welcome! Post up pics when you get it.

Not all the 2011 335i M-sports are getting the new M-sport rear diffuser... just the later builds of 2011 (post march I think, correct me if I'm wrong). The shape of the new 335i rear diffuser is identical to that of the 335is rear diffuser. The slight difference is that the 335is rear diffuser is partly painted the same color as the body... whereas the 335i rear diffuser is all black. |

Regardless of what you get, the car looks sick from all angles. I hope you get some nice weather to put the top down on that 335i 'vert, that's when it will look best. Hit up our washing/waxing/detailing forum here, keep that car looking in top shape: http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Guys, the 335i M-Sport will not get the 335is diffuser so do not be hurt when your baby comes in with the regular M-Sport diffuser. Just enjoy the car.

The configurator diagram isn't all that accurate. I believe if you build the 335d, and select m-sport package, (without paddles) You will find that the 335d is shown with a manual transmission! Even though we know that the 335d isn't offered with a manual transmission... lol

No proof
As far as I know BMW will maintain the 335is diffuser as a unique to the 335is. The diffuser is not just painted trim piece, notice the two fins under for airflow.
Source Motortrend: "and a matte black rear diffuser (which BMW engineers claim smoothes air separation at the rear)" http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz1KqLXQpYu The configurator is wrong. Quote:
