Grille and mirrors

I have a couple questions about the 1M.

I want to get the black kidney grille inserts. I'm pretty sure the one for a 135 will fit but does anyone know for certain?

Also, I want to get aspherical mirrors like they have in Europe (I have no idea why they are not in North America). Does the 1M have the exact same mirrors as the M3? Are the mirrors on the 1M auto dimming and does anyone know a good place to get the mirrors online that will ship to Canada?

According to realoem, the part numbers are different. All of a sudden this would be useful information. If I have the wrong grills, I would like to know before delivery.

You can just scruff up the ones on the 1M and paint them

Wasnt sure how large they were, it worked!!

30 mins of work, few $$ for a rattle can

I actually used two different colors/products for the kidney surround and the vertical grills

They do look perfect. Well done.

Unfortunately for me, it isn't how good they look, but how well they match the rest of the shadowline trim. I have a tendency to convince myself that they don't match only because I know they are painted.

im definitely getting the bmw performance kidney grill inserts black - or frontziergitter schwarz

for my black 1M - i dont see why they should not fit? ...or at least i hope they havent changed something?? ...no i dont think the dimensions differ - but i will have to verify that

I asked Evan @ Tischer BMW about the Performance grills and he said that they indeed will fit.

how much do they run in USD? i wish they would have made the black grill surround standard on the 1M. my mine was the same with a chrome grill surround. I like it on my red car with the chrome hood scoop and mirrors but thats on a red car. i'll like it on white too but the black looks so much better

On bmwusa.com, the performance kidney grille for the 1 series is listed at $121. The CF mirror caps for the M3, which I assume should also fit on the 1M, is listed at $350.
