UK Service Inclusive

What do you UK buyers think about the £1000 5 year service inclusive deal?
Any ideas how that would compare with typical servicing costs? It includes the 1200 mile service and all subsequent services up to 5 years/60,000 miles.

I know it depends on how long I intend to keep the car and it's annual mileage.

Anyone done the maths?

First question - are you sure it's £1000?

1200 mile service on a M Car is usually complimentary.

I'm paying the £1000 too. Originally it was showing £300 (regular 1er?) or something like that on the system and it was later revised to the correct amount for an M car.

I think you'll at least break even so nothing to lose.

My Merc is at least £300 a service so if that's anything to go by then should save a couple of hundred or so at least.

For info, I ran an M3 (e92) for 15,000 miles from new and it was still showing 5000 to the first service when I sold it. They don't need serviced any more frequently than "normal" BMWs. But the price when you do need it done is about 50% greater, IIRC I paid ~£400 for an Inspection 1 when I had my e46.

What mileage are you expecting to do?

I have been told £1000.00 as well , I don't know if the 1200mile service is F.O.C or not.

From what I can understand it looks like its more expensive in the UK than elsewhere.

I think in the USA its free and they get 5 years warranty not our 3!.

The product manager told me that the package would be at a new price point - higher than 1, less than M. When the point comes for me to order it, if it isn't somewhere between the two, I'll be contacting him...

Have any of you actually paid for it yet?

Sounds like you've just described the £400 price point.

It's on my order @ £1000 so i will get that adjusted tomorrow when i resign for the VO colour change.

Think i'll also get the £200 back for Seal and Protect.
