Front Inner Door Seal - E90/91 old type.
I am looking for a replacement door seal/cover for the drivers side on my 2006 E91.
The correct part as fitted to my car has now been revised and is no longer available from BMW. Buying the new style one and fitting it means that it would be odd to the other three. The existing part on the car at the moment has an additional inch wide strip of what looks like a sort of textured finish that over laps onto the door trim. From what BMW are saying it's this sort of velour strip that doesn't wear too well - so they got rid of it. The new part is just a strip of rubber. I don't know from what year the new parts where fitted. BMW parts numbers are : Old 517 271 64811 New 517 272 47258. It is the same part for either an E90 or E91 and drivers side is the same as passenger side. Anyone know where I can get one from?
