Did your dealership put the dealer's name tag(xx city BMW) on your 1M???
Coming from down under. I find it really odd that it's actually pretty common for dealers here to put their dealer tag on the cars on the body work(the boot usually) itself. I personally find them pretty tacky and out of place. They would normally only be seen as easily removable sticker on the rear glass panel in Australia.
I've heard from multiple colleagues here that they dont really care about it. They are no car enthusiasts tho. What do ppl here generally think about it? Do the tags usually leave marks on the paint when removed? |

Old dealership I used to do business with would put a sticker of the dealership name on the boot's of all the cars they sold. As well as the license plate frame with the dealership name.
New dealership that I'm dealing with now, and whom I'm getting my 1M from, does not do the sticker thing. Personally at my old dealership I used to peel it off at the dealership before I took off. Never left any marks. |

here almost every bmw dealer is doing the sticker thing - each side fender and inside the rear window this time with the 1M i gave them written advice not to put any stickers on - and also not to put it through a car wash i like their licence plate holders though

Exactly.........one time took my car in for service and they removed my custom plate frame and put theirs on and I told them the exact same thing. It was removed promptly.

They're usually just vinyl stickers and can be easily peeled off. I HATE when dealers do this. Like bluecat said, unless you're sponsoring the car or something... I don't want your advertisement on my car!

No dealer stickers on the car except one small one on the lower left corner of the windshield identifying the car as a VIP status, something this dealer does to offer extra perks for VIP owners when they bring their car in for service. Just a bunch of useless crap, the sticker will be gone immediately as I never intend to take it back there for service, they are 40 miles from my home and I have 3 other dealers within 5 miles.
