Sincere request for 1M Dyno footage

I am dying to see the 1M on a Dyno and would sincerely request any new 1M owners to make this possible by posting here....Thanks

I found one in one of the German tuner website.
I think the black line is the stock.
But, the result of the dyno is deeply dependent on the parameters of the tester and the weather and so on.
So, you should test your own car to know your car.

If my half-assed conversation is somewhat correct it looks like...

Stock measured - 347hp, 382ft/lbs (crank)
Tuned measured - 392hp, 427ft/lbs (crank)

Looks like it's putting more than 340hp out at the wheels?! It actually seems to state 350hp at the bottom. I can't translate though.

Over here in Europe we think it's odd that you do it at the wheels

I'm confident that this is correct.... it does say " Powered by BMW M" on the motor.... and I'm guessing that the M engineers didn't just slap a sticker on the motor compared to the Z435is

^^^ Those numbers are Flywheel hp numbers. It's a Euro thing. I'd rather rate things at the FW here in the states, but people gripe and want RW numbers.

So probably anywhere from 305-310hp to the rear wheels. Not bad, and in line with their rating from BMW.

WoW!

...tuned with 385PS and 580NM (corrected numbers) and speed limiter removed. Humm...

...stock it is 340 PS and 518Nm corrected numbers.

I think people tend to look at both numbers but rely on the RW numbers because that is real world, that is an actual number that has not been converted back to the crank. Unless you have the engine block on a bench the RW numbers are more "real"....

I agree. The issue is that about 50% of the people I deal with don't understand the difference. I own a dynojet shop, and it is probably the thing that I spend more time explaining than anything else. For an example someone with a 2010 Z06 will jump on and make mid 400's and be like "your dyno is off!! These are rated at 505hp from the factory". It nearly comes to blows on some occasions. These old timer shade-tree mechanics are the worst.

Unfortunately the graph from the stock-version confirms my worries about the fact of the power loss at high revs. HP peek at 6'000 rpm and after that a big drop.

That's defenitely not good, they've done a way better job with the tuning.

It's a relatively new thing over here. Back in the 70's and 80's all the RR's in the UK only ever gave a rwp figure, never an 'estimated' fwp.

And personally, I still want to know what the rwp is not an 'estimate' of what it is at the flywheel which may or may not be accurate based on too many variables.

It should be interesting to see and compare the dyno readings from the 1M's that have been "broken-in" using separate methods
