What's your budget? Looking for style? Looking for performance? Get some of those questions answered and someone may be able to answer your question better

Trying to get both style and performance.

I have already added a spoiler and some pinstriping. Looking at black grilles as a possibility.

Trying to find best bang for the buck in the performance area.

Performance as in handling or straight-line acceleration?

Good question! I hadn't thought about handling. Still getting used to the car.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

The ideal top three upgrades you can get for the car are as follows.

1.Bilstien Struts and Eibach springs because the suspension on the 335 and especially the 335xi are super soft and underdamped so that creates a floaty feeling. Its the 335xi's achilies heal. Change these and the whole character of the car changes handling wise. If you add more power to the car you need to add a beefier suspension to it, at stock with the 335xi at 300hp the car feels loose and wierd so imagine adding a tune it would become much worser than it already is.

2. An ECU flash or piggyback. Weather you get COBB, Jb4 or a Vishnu v5, they are all great. Expect 100hp and 100 tq's to be added to the car if not more. Thats phenomenal because not many cars can add that much power with such a simple mod. God bless twin turbo power. I recommended the Vishnu v5 BTW because it has the coolest features in my opinion and delivers safe reliable power.

3. New tires. The stock run-flats are junk and lead to a harsh ride. After you upgrade to a lowered tighter and more sporty suspension you are definitely going to wan't new tires because the car will feel bumpy and rough. Change the tires and the ride of the car will become smooth...

If you got all three of these upgrades. You would have a car thats sits 4-5 people depending on coupe or sedan, that handles exceptionally well , has over 400 plus crank hp and puts all the power to the ground because its an XI ( AWD ). This setup will give you one of the most well rounded cars on the road that does everything very well.

Yes, I see people are finally getting it. The best enhancement on a car will always be handling. What good is being able to go fast if you need to come down to 20MPH before you hit a turn.

Personally, I would recommend coil-overs (experience based) but this can be overkill and out of the budget of many. Shocks and struts will get the job done more than well enough. This will TRANSFORM the car... trust me.

Enjoy the car and enjoy making "educated mods".

Not looking to jack the thread, but can anyone rate their rides harshness; Non-lowered card on RFTs vs a Lowered Car on RFTs.

I'm curious and maybe the info will help the OP prioritize his mods.
