I tested one and thought it was a fine automobile, much better than the previous generation.
As you point out, it offers a lot of bang for the buck and will most likely be a good seller. It doesn’t perform or handle nearly as well as the X3 which is why I passed on it. It's nice that there are so many choices out there to suit almost any driver's wants and needs. |

Didn't drive one, but I've had a good look. Actually, considered it more when we were thinking about the X5. Ultimately bought the X5. I think it is geared toward a bit different market segment, but they do seem to have improved it quite a bit.
A little too much interior bling for me, especially steering wheel and dash... very Japo/American IMHO. But wouldn't look down my nose at one at all.

I'm waiting till later this summer to check out the new SRT, otherwise will get an X3. thank god work pays for gas mileage! I prefer the size of the jeep but like the overall package and practicality of the x3.

Gave the JGC a serious look. The new model is a big step up from the last - it rides on a Mercedes ML chassis, for example.
But in the end, it just doesn't drive like a BMW. |
