new slk

just had a look at the new slk 4 cylinder non metallic paint all for the bargain price of just under £47000 they certainly have a sense of humour when it comes to pricing. id have to sell both my cars and add £7000 to buy one. still looks like a girls car as well. the sls next to it on the other hand if only i had £184000 in my pocket!

Thats interesting, because the 4 pots start at £29k, which means theres some £18k of extras, which, even if you add the AMG design pack, exclusive leather, 7g gearbox, harmon kardon stereo, navigation, and AMG Piano black interior, you're still only doing £42k......

Yep, thats the higher powered of the 4 pots, but even so, it literally must have been loaded to the gills. I still wouldn't say no. Although for that money You'd just take the 350 six pot instead

ive just bought an e93 se 330i 07 1 owner with 9000 miles loaded and looks like its just come out of the showroom for £20000 when i saw the slk (which i was considering) for that money it really made my day. just for interest you can fully spec a 335i e93 with broadspeed for considerably less than the slk

You just try getting a hold of one of these Mercs then.

A Red SLK200 AMG packed with extras is the motor in question.

My girl friend has had her £1000 deposit sat on an order since last November to be first in line at the dealership on launch day.

She only this week has had a sort of confirmation of a build date in August.

If we are lucky it may be sooner.

We also have Mercedes in Germany involved because it seems that a lot of those lovely extras are not available to be added to the build

I tried to persuade her to look at a suitable Beemer to replace her '08 SLK but nothing doing I'm afraid.

Look forward to giving it a blast when it finally comes anyway.

I am sure you could get a nicely speced new SLK for around £33k. Car + some nice wheels, metallic, Leather and Heated seats.

A boggo 200k with the AMG kit (bodykit, bigger wheels, sports supension and leather) is all most people need / want, which you can pick up for just under £34k (or another £1500 if you want the 7G auto). ANd to be fair, 184 its no slouch when worked, but it isnt very musical!

But yeah, £47k, I'd expect a tooled up 350 for that! I have to say, if I didnt need the back seat, I would have another SLK in a heartbeat, as a day to day companion, I found it much more pliable than the Z4, and more refined than a boxster. Yes, the boxster would run rings round it, but when you're tooling up and down motorways that becomes totally irrelevant.
