ICE Install E90 320D Price Quote..
Hey,
I live in Hampshire near Surrey (this is important for price comparisons for any readers..) and just so you know, I have experience in doing quite a few sub/amp installs in my area so I am good with my hands.. I don't want to lose the OEM look of my E90 so wanted to see how much it would be to get this done professionally.. Read on... I just quoted £599 incl VAT for installing 2x10" Pioneer Subs (boxed), an Amp (I have all the necessary leads to connect the amp and sub incl power cable, rca cables, ground calble, remote cable and sub to amp cables) and my Pioneer P80BT Double Din H/U. THe straneg thing is that I already have ALL of this... the price quoted is for the following.. 1. New Fascia for Double Din HeadUnit 2. New Fascia for the heated seats controls (which get moved down and inch or two as a result. They said I will lose the ash tray to make up for the space the Double din unit takes - can this be avoided.. Where will I plug my satnav in if I lose the whole unit.. will I still have my lighter socket??) 3. Parking sensor adapter/facility - to continue receiving the parking warning signal (which I requested as MUST have) 4. Bluetooth BASIC Parrot kit (CK3000) What's striking is that the battery is in the booth so that is HELL of a lot of labour saved there so what justifies chargin an arm and a leg for such a job that take someone a few hours to do... Parts cannot be that expensive.. right? The only hard job I can see is running the RCA cables from the back of the H/U to the boot... that I can easily do. Do you guys think this is a reasonable price? They said it will be done in ONE day... surely if that's the case, I can do the job myself?!? What fascias would I need and where can I pick/order them from?? Please help me on this guys.. I am going to mod this car so nicely and I'd rather spend that money on mods that I actually think worth spending £600 such as a cleaning cloth! Thanks guys |

599 is a fair pricefor that work. The adapters alone to connect up to the CAN-BUS MOST system will cost well over £200. So the labour is very fairly priced.
This is a complicated car. If you want to go non-standard you need to pay the price. My setup was over £3000 all in by the way

MEGA my main man!! haha, yeah it just slipped my mind.. I'll do that tonight hopefully..
£3000????? What the? What did you get installed? PM me if you like unless you don't mind advertising your goods in the open! lol. Not being stingy but I enjoy the DIY as if something goes wrong or whatever, I know what I have done and know how to take it apart if need be.. Are the fascias/adapters available to buy for the general public of just to traders/dealers? Any hints por favor? |

Speak to car audio security in hayes. They should be happy to sort you out. Ask to speak to Andy if possible and tell him Dave / Mega sent you! If you can't get Andy speak to Dimy ("dimmy") - He's cool. Also, Andy is a forum sponsor for EvoTechnik so mention the forum 08707 551122

No idea to be fair mate, I just told Andy to "integrate everything" and he bought the relevant adapters to sort it
