E92 ride quality better than E90?

I have an E90 xi which has a very jarring suspension. I have my car in for hpfp recall and got an E92 loaner and the ride is remarkably smoother. Both are 335s, both are x-drive, the loaner has a sport package, mine doesn't, so the tires are different. But both are stock and RFT so its definitely not the RFT's that are an issue. Any thoughts anyone?
