DIY better brakes

I was thinking one of the first things I could do once my e92 is delivered would be to add cross-drilled rotors. The 335's rotors are already nice and big, but why not make them better by cross-drilling them. Seems like it would be super easy to just use a drill bit (1/4" size?) and drill about 50 holes through each disc. Much easier than buying some expensive set of discs that some else just did the same thing to.
