Delivery Advice
Hi
Been informed ive got a build date of week 27 and a delivery to UK of week 30. What does that mean guys? Also if it's looking like delivery could be very late July/early August, in your experience, do you think I could ask for a delay so that I get the new reg at the beginning of Sept? Is that something the dealer would expect? Thanks, Phil |

Sounds like the end of July. If that is the case I don't know if you would want to wait another month but if it wasn't going to be available until mid August or later, you have every right to say you will take delivery on 1st September and insist that it is registered on the new plate in September.
If it is reasonable to wait until September, put your requirement in writing as they may go ahead and register it in August for the sake of their own sales figures - and deprive you of a month's road tax at the same time! |

The thing is I'm away first 2 weeks of August anyway so by the time I'm back and got my head screwed back on it'll be week 3 of August before I can enjoy the car anyway. So just whether I can just say I want it registering on the new reg or not.

Make sure you tell them now! Otherwise they'll just register it!
They may offer you some more discount if they have to make target so it might be worth asking, if you don't mind taking it on an 11 plate as opposed to a 61! (God it doesn't seem 2 mins since 51 first came out!) |
