Whistling Mirrors E90 LCI

I kind of have a unique request. I have an 09 3er here is the USA and my mirrors whistle when I drive. It's a known problem with no available fix from the dealer.

In a post on another forum someone said its only a USA related problem because we get mirrors that have a different shape which causes the whistle!

I think it real BS but it makes sense that a different shape will cause the whistle.

So my request, I was wondering if someone could take pictures of their mirror housing or point me in a direct to compare UK spec mirrors vs. USA mirrors

Following the thread you suggest the whisle appears when you drive with the window down at 50 - 60 mph. Here in the UK have seen very few, if any people driving at this speed with the window down.
Smokers at low speeds: Yes!
If you have air con who wants to drive with a window down?

I was having this very problem the other day and the speed was way bellow 60mph, it was in a built up area so 30 - 40 mph max.

I was sat there driving along thinking, how bloody annoying is that noise!!

So to answer your question, the mirrors will be the same as the LCI cars
have a changed shape for the UK also!

Interesting..... I went on a website that I OEM parts from and the parts are the same part # for UK and USA
