2011 E90 Already SES Light with Wild Bucking

Hello All:

I am very concerned. I just purchased a 2011 328i Xdrive last week. It currently has 58 miles on it. This morning I start the car up and it immediately starts shaking and bucking. I drove around the neighborhood and once over 20 mph or so the bucking goes away, but once I stop and idle, the bucking comes back. The SES light came on and I limped home thinking the engine was going to die. I left a message with the dealership and sent an e-mail to the Service Advisor and my Salesperson, but since it is Sunday, I am not expecting a response until Monday.

After reading the sticky, I don't think my car has the HPFP, so what could this be?

Don't worry yourself to much, that's what the warranty is for. BMW will take care of you. Your model doesn't suffer from the HPFP failures.

Thanks for the calming response. It's just frustrating on such a new car. I'm hoping it's something minor and won't be a continuous problem.

Do you know when your car was build ? Mine was in March 2011 and I also got it last week. I have similar issue.

Guess your starting your relationship with your service department early. All of us BMW owners know them very well. Lol.

Sure it'll be something simple on such a new car.
