Will you trade in/buy the F30/32 the first model year or wait awhile?

I have a 335is that I love but seeing that the "4 series" coupe is coming out in 2013 model year it seems I am not sure if I will tradein or just wait until the F32 is matured a bit. I would hate for the 4 series coupe to have some HPFP type issue in the first year that I could avoid, plus the 335is is brand new and will only be 2 years old for me when the 4 series comes out.

What are your thoughts? I am also hoping on a 335is type 4 series, a "440is" or something. Do you think they will offer a 335is type in the first model year or only near the end of the generation like they did with the 335i?

Waiting. Not willing to get rid of my car. Too attatched to it. Yeah I only have a 325i but I love it.

Man if I were you I'd keep the 335is and wait for a year or two. Let all the bugs get fixed. Besides you have a beast of a car. Why trade it in so soon?

To each his own, I guess. But I would definitely wait. But best of luck with your decision even though that won't be for a while.

I learned my lesson. Never again buy a BMW in first 6-12 months of production. I got my 2006 E90 in Sept 2005. What happened during the first 6-12 months of ownership? Comfort Access, Real Time Traffic, and something called a 335i.

Well, at least I have a limited edition E90 called a 330i.

That's amazing, I didn't have my financial ducks in a row so I missed the 2006 E90 330i, which I wanted badly. Then when I am ready to buy, I see a E92 335 coupe in 9/06, check the price, and it was up by a thousand and change I believe....300HP and 300 lbs. ft. was decent back then!

Good call, there might be a LCI Update (with HP/TQ bumps) on the F30/F32 when the F33 is available in 2013/2014.

To someone's earlier question, I think a F3xiS will come out after the F33 is introduced, so don't hold your breath in seeing one anytime soon. Just good marketing really, the staggered approach allows for multiple upgrades within the same product cycle if you want the best/newest.
