Sucks man sorry hear. They say these things happen in threes. So maybe you're outta woods for now. I heard storiees of people totaling out their cars tryin to avoid critters in the road. So I guess you came out on top!

Very true, my dad always has told me never to swerve for an animal. They are almost always a much better target than another car or a huge tree. Idk what instinct would make me do though. Glad you're ok atleast. Like ^said..

I was told growin up not to swerve for anything smaller than a person. I still do if im the only one in the car and the roads are clear. But remember, most insurance companies either wont or/are hesitant to cough up the money if you swerve to miss a deer(ex.) and find a ditch instead. If an animal is gonna be the cause of damage, there better be a dead one layin close by imo. AAAnd, i would like to add, if you hit a decent size animal you might wanna make sure there are tire marks leadin up to it.(hittin the brakes) You can thank the guys that'l run down bambi to get a new car for that one.

lol OT again but the day i bought my 06 cobalt i hit a rabbit on the way home and cracked the front bumper(low pro bodykit) so i feel your pain.

Even worse, Last month my bud with a cobalt ss sc hit a coon. busted his radiator and intercooler. He didnt think anything of it so he drove it 15 mi to his house. Next mornin he realizes in the process of drivin home he fried his supercharger also... insurance is payin up luckily but its hard to imagine a 20# coon doin over 10k in damage(My freinds ignorance about cars didnt help either i admit)

If that's your worst ever week, you're a lucky person.

Ya it just sucks to have to repair all this, I think I want to just get the full m tech kit, or maybe do m3 look idk, and no I can say this wasn't my worst week ever but, for the circumstances it was bad enough to have that happen.

The first two incidents are totally beyond your control, but the third would make me mad too. But as someone said, if that's your worst week, nothing to worry about, so just keep that in perspective and no worries!

You've probably not hit a deer then. I'd rather use the athletic capabilities of my 3-series to not hit the deer and avoid the hassle of having my car in the shop for 3 weeks to get the damage fixed. And there doesn't need to be a "dead animal" lying nearby. I had an encounter with a deer (I swerved and he did too) and all he did was kick my right headlight and broke the corona ring (the light was fine in all other ways). State Farm didn't even question it.
