M3s everywhere
So I was talking to an advisor about lease rates and found out that the m3 has significantly dropped in price - which would explain why I see an m3 everywhere I go. I remember in 08 the coupe was in the 800’s but later went to 1100 for the sedan and 1200 for the coupe in 09-2010. Only recently they went back down to 08 pricing and according to the advisor the coupe is in the 700-800 and convert is in the 800-900. These rates are for a 2 year lease and no cap cost reduction, just taxes and fees. If I were into leasing I would be all over this, it’s an amazing deal that won’t last long as the rates change every month.

Me too. Funny thing is, I rushed in to secure my 2.9% rate (now they offer 0.9%) because I expected rates to go up due to the Fed ending QE2. Feel like a chump now.

E90 M3 is something I would definitely buy if I was in the market... It's a shame that BMW is dropping the M3 Sedan... , although the gran coupe looks very promising, especially if it comes in a M version.

not too sure of the pricing for the sedan but 700s for the coupe is outrageous. when i was leasing i was paying 600 for my 335i coupe which was way less than everyone else who were paying in the 700s.

Keep in mind that different states may have wildly varying prices. Here in CA my dealer wanted $703/mo for my 2011 335i coupe. After checking that it wasn't so good a deal I bought it instead and glad I did because I drive way more miles than the lease gives. I don't like the feeling being capped on miles on a lease, so consider that if you have always averaged more than lease miles.

True that! I walked into the Ford dealer to see if I could get a new 5.0 as a track beater. Found out they are selling them for $45k.....15k over invoice. I asked why....they replied "because people will pay that." NorCal is redicusouly overpriced.

Yea I really fucking hate Ford for marking up. They'll be bitching and crying like $5 whores when their models go stale and people stop going into their dealership. I always tell greedy dealers what stupid little dicks they are for doing this. Huge reason why so many American car dealerships closed down and these losers lost jobs, I see they are right back to playing the same game. When you overcharge people like idiots they will remember that and never ever go back, and will tell everyone else the same. I never bought anything overpriced from Ford, I bought a 1998 GT for 19.5K out the door new. But it was the rude experience that I remember. |

And the problems that American car companies had and continue to have were not related at all to this. It had to do with inflated retirement plans, union bullshit, and the declining American economy. It didn't help that their cars suck ass, but their pricing plans had nothing to do with it. |

like i said, when you ask a dealer how much their car is you will always get an inflated rate. Its only when you ask them about a promo or ask them to beat your rate when they actually have to compete for your business. i see an m3 everywhere i go for that same reason. |

well most if not all brand new cars on the road are leased and the popularity of a vehicle depends a lot on price - this case the lease programs. the C class has very aggressive lease deals, i know someone that got a c300 4matic for like 380 with barely any money down. the e class is also not that much (for a benz), the MLs are a little more and s550s are everywhere.
