What do you think about the M-Sport on a 2011 328i coupe?

So I've decided to order a 2011 328i coupe, however, I really hate the new facelift. Therefore, the only way to replace it and make it look decent is to get the M sport package which gives me a different front and back bumper. Would a 328i be suitable for the m-sport package? I know there seems to be more 335i out there with the package, I'm not that big on having the greatest speed and I rather have the looks. I hope it's not a weird combination with the 328i and the m sport. And overall is the m sport worth it?

I have an M-Sport 328 sedan and agree that the facelift looks horrible without it. The look is not too agressive but very sporty. Without the M package, the car looks like an Asian economy import. Go for it!

do it. This mod changes the exterior of the car drastically and in a good way. I hate the new look of the facelifted coupes too

M-Sport is a must-have option for the LCI E92, if you want a sporty/masculine looking car. The stock LCI bumpers for the E92/E93 are too feminine IMHO

Do you think the Rear bumper of the M-Sport will still look good on the 328i even if it has those two exhaust pipes on one side only?

M sport is well worth it. I don't like the stock bumper on the LCI E92s either, looks super boring.

If there was anything that you had to have, it is the M sport package. It comes with so much for only $2800. Well that's how much it is on the 335i not sure 328i. The dealers only make $50 on it if they were to sell it as MSRP. That's how ridiculously valuable it is. Premium package I could do without, but I did get leather seats, that you must have also, the rest is up to you.

Yes. I am definitely getting the M-Sport package for my 328i coupe. The only thing that had me contemplating was because it seemed like I only see the package on mostly 335i models and that they had those dual exhaust pipes which does look good. However, after seeing some pics of the 328i and thinking about it, I am totally fine with the one sided exhaust pipes with the rear diffuser look.

I love my 2011 M-Sport 328i. Yes, the looks are better, but every time you sit inside and grab the thicker M-Sport wheel you appreciate it even more.

The rear looks fine with the one-side dual outlets. The darker diffuser area looks better than the uniform color rear bumper.

I've got no regrets. In fact, the dealer was willing to drop their pants to sell me a non-M-sport, but after considering it overnight I tried to figure out how paying less for a car I didn't want could be a bargain. I had to wait about 1.5 weeks for the dealer to locate/deliver my M-Sport, but it was worth it. I'm glad I I went with my first choice, every time I look at it and every time I drive it.

Pre LCI E92 had such a perfect front end and they ruined it.

M-Sport on your 328 to correct their "improvements"...all the way!

I have an LCI 335i E92 and the m-tech was not available in my color. Just ordered the m-tech kit to clean up the look. Pre-LCI definitely looked more agressive. Just a matter of waiting for my kit now

Yes. Even nicer than one on each side. Dual exhausts lost any specialness to me since so many 4 cyl cars come with them now. I love the 2 on one side of the 328 with the m-sport.

The 2x exhaust pipes on the 335 makes it look a bit more aggressive/symmetrical. Not a big deal however, you can't tell the difference between a stock 335 and a 328 unless you look at the rear. And even then ... only BMW enthusiasts/car gurus know the difference. And on top of that, who cares.
Lots of cars have single sided exhaust. The Mercedes CLK550 (recently discontinued) had a V8 400HP engine and a single sided exhaust ... same with the CLK 63 AMG convertible (500HP+ V8) - just two pipes on the left side.

If at any point you have extra cash, I recommend the BMW Performance exhaust system, see what your dealer quotes. Big upgrade over stock, it sounds awesome. And no warranty issues since it is BMW OEM part.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all the feedback. It's good to be confident in what I'm buying and to also get some positive input from other people as well. I ordered mine and it should start production in the 1st week of July.
