Comfort Access....
Ok, so when I bought my car I thought the comfort access was an interesting feature...but it wasn't something I had to have. After six weeks now, I have to say this is the freaking best feature ever. The touch sensitive door handles mixed with the home link means that for six weeks...I haven't touched a single key. Home link lets me into my house keyless....comfort access lets me into my car keyless....comfort access locks my car keyless...rfid badge unlocks my office keyless.
I don't think I could live without this now... |

I agree with dyezak. The Comfort Access is one of the the best features BMW added. I had it on my 06 330xi. I literally forgot what my keys looked like lol. After i got rid of it for a 07 335xi that didnt have comfort access, boy did i miss it. Took me weeks to remember to use the unlock button on the key to open the car. lol

I did not order it on my 2007 335i and I was frustrated a few weeks after I got the car because I realized I really wanted it. Now my 2011 has it and I am satisfied. However, I think it is crap that they charge so much for this option when more and more automakers are including it as standard.

I love CA, but hate paying so much for it when other manufacturers give it to you for free.

not a huge fan of comfort access. the auto open feature was unknowing triggered, leaving the sunroof wide open during a snow storm. wish I could disable that feature

Back on topic, yea CA is the bees knees esp if you've got the vert. Top up or down with the remote. The folding top is an engineering beauty that should be witnessed standing outside of the car. Now only if it could read my mind instead of pushing buttons! |

I didn't want to pay for the feature and tried to get the car without it. However, I got stuck with it anyway. Now I can't imagine owning another car without it. It's my favorite feature by far.

I thought CA was rediculous
But my CPO came with it. I don't think I will every have another car that doesn't have it.
BTW - I think all current generation cars (as in F series cars) come with it standard (or as stated above - jacked up price included). -Tom |

That is the thing with certain options, one you have it you cannot live without it. I was happy with my TomTom until I got Navi in the car... since then I would not buy a car without Navi. i Drive, etc..

Yep good feature just wish they would bundle it with ZPP and just tack on the difference in price. It'll never be free here or any other but what's the point of premium package when it does not include it. Part of ZPP and stand alone like heated seats and cold weather package.

Comfort Access is super neat in my opinion. The only thing that bugs me about it is sometimes I don't want to use it -- like those times I'm walking towards my car from a distance. I will be walking towards my car and I click the "unlock" button so I can see the pretty angel eyes light up and show me the way. It doesn't seem to have a good range for this. By the time it "sees" the signal and lights/unlocks, I'm 10 feet away from the car. :/ The non-CA remote can do this 50 feet away ore more! Other than that, it's a fantastic option for the $500.
