Passenger lock failing

The passenger lock failed yesterday. It wouldn't open using the center button or the key fob. But, later that day the lock started to work again. I did a search and what I read it is either a fuse or the actuator failing. I have an appt with my mechanic next week and was thinking if i should hold off on taking it to him and wait til it fails? Or should I just go and get it checked out/fixed?

Thanks
