Turn Signal Stalk issues (Programming issue?)

Well my car was giving me all kinds of problems with my wipers and the dealer kept saying it was "fixed" getting me to pay for first a re-alignment, then new wiper arms and blades, then it turned out to be the motor.

Ended up getting my money back as the motor was part of the CPO while the rest werent, but anyways my issue now is with my turn signal stalk functions no longer there.

I have an 06' e90 w/navigation and on my turn signal stalk I use to be able to turn the brightness down on my dash, and do some other options. However since getting my car back I can no longer edit the brightness, my only options are Engine Check, Oil Check (Which i don't think was there prior), Service Check, and I believe one other.

I think they may have updated my software with that of a car w/o iDrive. Is this going to be an issue? Am i going to be missing any functionality of my stalk options? I'm hoping its not an issue but I was a little surprised to see this difference.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Cars with or without iDrive have the same exact menus on the dash. It's pretty much independent of nav. Make sure you're checking the dash menus while your car is stopped, as my car disables a majority of the menu options while in motion (including dash brightness level).

yea i jus checked my manual and it listed all the functions, the only one i'm missing is brightness, which i could care less about as long as it doesn't affect anything else in my car

i'll check tomorrow before driving off, but either way I should be ok

thanks for the response though

You can't adjust brightness if the lights aren't on.
