Pairing memory to keyfobs?

Hi, girlfriend just got a 335i and is having issues pairing the seat memory presents to her key. I'm able to store the settings to the memory positions, but can't figure out the key pairing!

The "1" and "2" on the seat match the number "1" and "2" keyfobs. Set the seat how you want on 1 and then unlock the car with it if the seat changes back to a different position, then the key fob you used to unlock it is keyfob #2, if the seat stays in the same position, then it's keyfob #1, hopefully that helps.

That makes sense, I think I was thrown off because the dealer owes us a key still and we only have one. I probably programmed it to the wrong keyfob

Really? 1 and 2 to key #1 and key #2? I always thought it was just 2 positions in memory like most other cars have 2-3 positions for memory. So I thought essentially you get a total of 4 positions, 2 for each key. I guess I was wrong. Isn't the memory also for radio presets? I thought I remember reading that in the manual.

No the memory buttons on the seat are programmable with the synced key. You can have even Have multiple keys synced up to one button on the seat it is just how you prefer to set up the memory with multiple keys. Maybe I'm confusing you... Just open the manual. It explains kinda half ass but you night understand it better.

each key has a separate profile. each profile has the seat memory settings, heating/aircon settings, and radio/media button settings. also has a couple of other settings, DRL, follow me home duration, unlocking doors etc etc. as guy above said, read the manual and it'll tell you everything.
