I would like to switch to a square setup. Would 18x9 be overkill for the xi? The only power modification will be cobb access port stage 1. The main reason for the change is monthly autocross sessions. The wheels will likely be wrapped with dunlop direzza sport z1 star spec and driven daily.

18x9 is probably a little much for the front, especially considering the offsets. If you have an 18x8 or 18x8.5 (or buy 2 rear sport wheels for the front) with 245/40/18's all around that would probably be a good setup. You could go bigger in the rear, but you wont need to, let the awd do it's job.

Thanks for the advice. It would also be much cheaper to just buy 2 wheels instead of four.
