Corolla S!? Wtf.

OKAY. This is embarassing but something is not right with my car, a freaking corolla s was able to go ahead of me while i was flooring? NOW, i don't know if my car was in limp mode or anything but seriously? I KID YOU NOT, he took me over for few seconds! WTF is going on? its a 2008 335i sedan..
should i kill myself? idk what happened but i know i was flooring? man.

Manual or Auto?

If manual, learn how to shift.

If auto, maybe no enough traction?

Unless it's like 120 degrees where you live or that is a built engine, tuned on a standalone and turbo'd corolla S, something is very wrong...

Car should tell you if it's in limp mode.

Does your car feel any different? take it to an empty road and just gun it

Check the flux capacitor.

Seriously, if the car is down that much on power, it's broken. Take it to a shop. This is a no brainer.

Try downshifting next time?

If your car is in limp mode, you'll know it. You'll see the warning light and the car will drive like you're towing a trailer full of grand pianos.

I don't know, 132 HP with 128 lbs of torque is a force to be reckoned with...I wouldn't mess with a Corolla S

I don't know about you, but if I'm in the right gear and I'm flooring it, my 335i goes REALLY fast! So fast I can't keep my foot on the pedal for very long because I run out of road.

Exactly the same happened to me a few years ago, but I had a 2003 325i. My experience was more embarrassing because it was with a basic Corolla, not even the type S. I fixed it by buying a Corvette Z06...
