MTech or M3 rep in Canada?

I'm looking for shops that can source either the Mtech or M3 rep front and rear bumper kit.

I'm located in Quebec City, but i'll be travelling for these if shipping is too much.

Let me know if you can vouch for shops that can supply these;

Many Thanks!

I suggest you try eBay and have them shipped to a courier place at the border near Montreal to avoid ridiculous shipping charges to Canada and brokerage fees. On eBay search e90 M3 kit. You can get the whole kit for $999. Whatever you do, do not use UPS for cross border shipping. You'll get screwed with brokerage fees.

you can try extremeparts.ca, it's located in Toronto. Entire m3 kit for $1050 or if you want m3 front, m3 ssk and mtech rear it's $1050 as well.

Ya N54 is not a bad source. That said, FWIW, _please_ don't get an M3 kit, rep or legit, it looks silly on a non-M3 car. I have seen one member with it in real life, and I'm sorry, but it looks absolutely idiotic, esp if you put a quad exhaust. Anybody who knows will instantly bust you, since you have fog lights on this kit (!!!), which NONE of the current generation M cars have.

I also advise against the Mtech kit, rep or legit, simply because everyone has it. You look like you have a black E90 - trust me, having been to meets (I have the same) the only way I can tell where my car is is because I have a plush Angry Birds toy on my dash. :P Aside from that, EVERYONE seems to have a black 328/335 with the Mtech kit. Doh. I mean, I still like the kit - it just sucks that it's SO common.

I would strongly recommend doing something like this:

- for front, find something DIFFERENT. Make it BMW Performance, or Hamann, or even spend a bit extra and get something wildly uncommon, like WALD. Ship it to Freeport Forwarding in Champlain, NY, and go pick it up. That's what I will do if I ever decide to change fronts.
- for rear, Mtech is fine - but get the BMW Performance diffuser, rather than the stock one. It looks SIGNIFICANTLY better, and gives a unique look. I have seen a million Mtech rears, but, including mine, I have only seen something like three Performance diffusers - so definitely a win in my book.

But please don't fake out your 3-series with an M3 kit.

Thanks for the heads up Nim; but i've changed my mind about the M3 kit since the rear bumper's fitment is off; so its out of the question.

I know the Mtech kit is pretty popular, but I havent seen one yet in Quebec city; and I dont go to meets in Montreal very often. So its not an issue.

I've found Onderground design that got the whole Mtech kit; including sides for 1082$. So I might go that way. I have no choice to get at least the rear since I got rear-ended last week and definitely need a bumper. And OEM bumpers are way too much money for what you can get aftermarket. And they're in Laval, QC

I've considered N54, but they only got the M3 front; no rears. So if I have to drive to Toronto to get my parts; might as well get them all from the same place!

Fair enough. As I was saying - Mtech rear is a perfectly valid (and recommended) option - it looks nice and completes the look. Front is harder, but if you don't have a choice then you don't - what can you do.

$1082 is unpainted I am guessing? Not a bad price.

Nim: That is unpainted of course. And considering I got 1253$ from my insurance, that would be a pretty nice deal to get the whole kit and having to pay for paint from my own pockets.

I just need to figure out how the hell am I going to fit these in the car without being a public danger AHAH.

On a E92, I agree; but unfortunately, it doesnt apply to the situation here. That would need some serious work to make it fit!

That's why i've went with the ACS front lip since its the closest match for a E90. But it doesnt clip that good on the oem bumper so its gonna have to go. I wont even try to sell it since I dont want to be blamed for the manufacturer's fitment issues.

I've done it so I know it fits....
lower the rear windows on the rear doors. Put the bumpers with the corner extremities to go out of the windows on each side, with the front of the bumper face down on the lowered back seats. Raise the windows to limit the air flow inside the car s it will tend to lift the bumpers as you gain speed. If not painted, you'll have no issues with scrathes...if you have the rear bumper only, fold the seats and it will fit inside your car ( unless you're buying Fiber Glass, (ne fait pas ca car a -30, le fibre de verre agit comme la verre, tres fragile ), which I assume this won't work as it's not as flexible as OEM material.

e91 method;
-open the trunk
-put the parts in the car
-close the trunk

Me_Hi: That's how I managed to fit the rear; but the one that's concerning me is the front bumper; especially if I have to bring both back to QC.
