either way... id rather listen to this than any modern day washed up pathetic hip hop ud hear on the radio. every song has little wayne who is an over produced repetitive unoriginal clown. let alone a morphine junky who sounds like hes gurgling underwater.

do your thing. as long as you arent rapping about getting money, hitting the club, put yor hands in the air, shots, money, shots, gettin p*ssy, money, shots, hands in the air, put your habds up, shots, in the club vip, gettin p*ssy, im so fly, drop it low, gettin money, repeat repeat. Then ill give it a listen. i just wrote a new club hit for all the dorks! literally those are the only lyrics that can sell anymore. thats 90% of the radio. drop dead america. specifially areas near me (jersey). the idea of exploring music outside of the radio and understanding is sparse anymore. people just..... dont get it.

They left off the "c" on "rap", and it ain't music. And if you think "hip hop" is "hip", then you're not. Maybe you should take a music appreciation class at night school and learn what music is REALLY all about.

This was just a few high school friends of mine in the suburbs and I was trying get their name out. The music that I thoroughly enjoy is usually not this. I like HipHop and rap from the 90s, I also listen to a lot of classical and jazz and some rock for example the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

No offense, but as someone who has been involved with music my whole life (on various levels), a music appreciation class would probably turn you on to hip hop. IMHO, music is subjective and expressive. I remember the first time I heard "Straight Outta Compton" it scared the sh!t out of me. I decided to give it a hard listen and it hipped me to a whole scene I wasn't evenly remotely associated with. I started digging deeper into the style and came up with all kinds of good finds that I still listen to today. Is there garbage in rap, hip-hop, etc? Sure, but the same can be said of any genre.

To the OP, I can't listen at work because YouTube is blocked, but I'll give it a listen when I get home. I'm always up for something new.

Haha listening at work dont know what to say about that lol, yeah when you get home give it a listen. I also have played alto sax in my school bands since i was 10 now I am 17 an still going strong. Also look up AZ, and Immortal Technique their lyricism is unmatched by any other artists I have ever heard. Immortal Technique tells some crazy stories through his rap.

Very cool. I started playing guitar when I was 3 (I'm 44 now) and play mostly for fun now. I was at a friends house last night who has over 18000 bands (not songs, bands) in his iTunes library. He's a little older than me, but has 2 sons your age. A lot of the stuff we were listening to came from his kids. Truthfully, not all of it was my cup of tea, but it was still interesting to hear the stories being told. I'll check all of that stuff out tonight. Thanks.

Funny you should mention RHCP, I was thinking of them only because the "looking like a Kennedys/got ten-a-dese (ten of these)" rhyme here reminded me precisely of the "can I get two, maybe even tree-a-dese (three of these)/come from space to teach you of the Pleiades" lines from RHCP's "Can't Stop"

im agreeing.

I agree with most of the comments here. Its practically subjective, and I strongly agree with this statement.

I kind of like it, it has that old school vibe to it. Sounds Grand Master Flash/Sugar Hill Gang "ish".
