Sunroof: is a slight clicking normal?

So my warranty is up next week, and I've been really going over the car, combing for potential issues. One thing I noticed is that, upon closing the sunroof, a very slight clicking can be heard. It has been my experience with past cars that no clicking is good clicking, but this is so slight that I can kind of have to tilt my ear toward the roof to even hear it. It sounds like some plastic pieces in the light toward the backseat are moving around and clicking. The glass seems to move smoothly, without issue. It could have even been making this noise all along and I just noticed it, but I was wondering if this noise is normal in your cars as well. Do you hear any moving parts slightly clicking when you close your sunroof?

Thanks!

I don't hear any clicking on mine, but that doesn't really answer your question about whether it is normal.

But it does remind me of a funny story: I test-drove a used 7 series at the dealer. We got back to the lot and the salesman went inside, but I was still in the car. I operated the sun roof, and maybe I hit the "tilt" button while the roof was halfway open or something, but a V-shaped piece of metal suddenly went SPROING and shot out of the sunroof rails, flew across the parking lot, and skidded under another car. I closed the sunroof and walked away, never mentioning that to the dealer.

I too do not have any "clicking" noises from the sunroof. At least, take it in to the dealership for evaluation and further check.

Sorry, I have no sunroof stories to share.

Cool. Thanks, guys. Looks like it's one last trip to the dealer for me.

Why wouldn't you mention it to the dealer? I'm not going to repeat the story but I learned my lesson about that at age 17.
