oooo, this will be a good one. I need to know too (left side out).
While we're at it, anyone recommend a "high intesity" lightbulb that would make the halo light MUCH brighter, while keeping the amber color? Ok, last question, how do I get angel eyes to run as daytime running lights + welcome light (with lock/unlock)? Is that a hard-wire job or just coding? |

Well it seems you can't buy the bulbs separately... Have to buy an entire unit.. I'll take a pic later, however on closer inspection it seems this is a BMW money making trick...instead of melting the fitting to the metal outer, they cod have just made it a screwing piece as the bulb is your every day regular bayonet bulb!!

For your E92 it's a H8.
For the pre-lci e90 it's a BMW specific bulb. You'll have to get it from the dealer or look up the part # on realoem.com and order it from getbmwparts.com As for upgrading the bulbs, not sure if any vendors make a stock temp (3500k?) upgrade. I'm making a custom set for a friend in the 5000k range (cool white). I can use 4000k leds instead for a more stock like color. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. EDIT: Actually I have my oem bulbs. If you guys want to buy them from me, shoot me a PM. |

It is a dealer only part, however after buying a new one, I took the old one apart - we are paying a stupid price for the housing - the bulb is a plain old 12v bulb, pretty much the same bulb that is in the glove box torch! Before you go buy the BMW fitting, take it out of your car, and you will see 2 melted points on the housing. Either break those melted points off or melt them off. Pull the fitting out and then you will be able to change the bulb. You just need to find a bulb that fits there, I haven't bothered looking yet...
