Old Member, New Car!
Well, after a short rendezvous on the dark side (Bought a 2010 Audi S4) I'm proud to say I'm coming back to BMW. It was a fun car overall but there were things that I just didn't want to deal with anymore. Thus after much deliberation (M3vs335) and need for awd, I ordered a 2011 Deep Sea Blue 335X Drive with Oyster interior. It's loaded with every package except the Msport (ordered regular sport package) basically because of my plans to install M3 bits. Very excited to be coming back, going to be a anxious 8 weeks. I'll be sure to post pics/updates on my modifications.
I was going to wait for the 2012 model but after dealing with the bugs of new model purchases (2010 Audi and 2008) I'm happy to have an established vehicle that I am very familiar with and can get started on the modifying right away. Anyway, thanks for reading and look forward to working with you guys (OSS, Gary, Long, etc) in the near future. Here are a few pics of the old, and the new order. Regards, Chris |

Could you elaborate on why you didn't like the s4, very curious to know. How does the 335xi seem like a better choice?
Ill give you a straight trade for my 335i ...jk

She looked sharp, the S4. Plus, I love your color choices (both cars). Deep blue sea + Oyster = Da bomb.
Yes, please do tell what you thought of the S4.

Which wheels are those on the new car? They look unique.

FYI, after having featured the S4 in 2010 Car&Driver 10Best and Automobile Mag All-Stars, they both dropped it and kept the 3-series/M3 for 2011. |

congrats, nice S4 too though. I know what you mean about coming back to BMW. I think they put something in their coffee at BMW dealers to brain wash people into falling in love with their cars lol. I'll definitely be going back after my short rendezvous with Mercedes.

They are style 196 radials. As for the S4, it was a pretty nice car overall. Not as refined as the BMW in terms of interior quality. It has a lot of nice features with the nav etc but I never used that. Drive wise, the power is pretty linear and even though its supercharged you really don't feel a "punch" like you do with the turbos of the bmw, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I just had issues with things that became recalls (thermostat, water pump etc). Suspension is pretty good being adjustable, though not as stiff as an M3, still has a nice a sporty feel. Now the steering, ugh, about as numb as you can find. Overall, it was nice to change it up a bit, but I never really had that connected feel with the car. I'm glad I had a run with it though but time has run its course and its time to move on.
