Tint? I am so torn!

I have a Black Sapphire Metallic 1M and am so torn on how dark to do the tint! I do not want too dark, but at the same time, I do not want too light. What is a sporty yet classy percentage folks?

You do realize you are going to get 50 different answers right?

15% rear and 35% sides.

I would go 50% all around, but since you are in FL i would say 35% all around.

What's the stock tint in % from the rearwindows when you order this?
I would like to have the same % tint at my frontwindows

owning a BSM 135i I have 15% on the rear windows and 35% on the front windows. Due to the small size of the rear windows it is impossible to tell that there is a difference in the tinting %'s. The tint flows well and I have been very pleased with the results.

What kind of film are people actually having installed? Does anyone have experience with the Carbon XP from SunTek? There's an installer near me who has been recommended by a co-worker, and they positioned the CarbonXP as being a good a durable non-metallic film. Unfortunately I know nothing about tint so I'm not too sure what to look for.

Also.... if I went the 35 sides 15 rear route - does the 15 in the rear intefere much with rearward visbility at night? I like to be able to see crown vics and dodge magnums before the colorful lights start flashing.....

Thanks!

LLumar makes a good tint. Go with something ceramic that comes with a lifetime warrenty. As for the 35% on the sides and 15% on the rear I dont have any issues seeing out at night. Granted I tend to use my side mirrors more often than the rearview. I like the 15% on the back because it makes the tint appear darker all around but my experience is that cops will usually let 35% slide if it is illegal in your state as opposed to the 15% on the fronts.

I am going with 3M Crystalline 70% all around. You get great protection from heat and UV and the factory look.

+1 Search for my previous posts/pictures of my STi on this forum. I got compliments almost every day I drove it. I had Huper Extreme on that, which I was happy with, but I'm going to try the Huper ceramic 35% on my new black 1M.

I like to use 47.5% tint. To get the half percent, I smear my windows with used cooking oil.

I have Suntek Carbon on my R32 and no problems with it, I'm doing their 38% tomorrow. My brother also has Suntek carbon and looks great.
