Talking 8 weeks to VO

Just got the call that my allocation has come in early. I spec it out tomorrow. It was suppose to be an October build but my CA says it should be delivered by early September!

Did you have to leave a large deposit for your order?

Don't place a large deposit to be on a waiting list. There are many dealers that will put you on the list with a $1000 deposit or no deposit.

I have however spoken with several dealers that wanted a 5k deposit for their allocation, however. I would make sure that it is an allocation with an actual production number however.

+1 this. one crazy CA claimed i had an allocation and order in production with no chance to change my order. of course she keeps balking and making excuses why she can't provide a production number, despite claiming the order was locked

unfortunately lots of sleazy CA's out there. protect yourself and be smart by using a credit card for the deposit (preferably AMEX due to their cardholder friendly stance on chargebacks) and not signing anything marked "non-refundable" without making it contingent upon an allocation with production number.

$1k initially. Tomorrow I place the actual order and they want a little more as a down payment.

They asked for only another $2k for a down payment.

Congrats! It will be a painful wait but it's worth it! I'm heading to Munich today after a long 4 months wait!

I reckon you just need to be absoultely sure that you can get a refund if you want to pull out anytime or if they can't give you an allocation in a reasonable time frame. I had to put 2k down for mine.

Are you buying or leasing? Putting security deposit down instead of down payment is better as far as I know.
