Moving from E92 M3 to 1M!

I lust wanted to introduce myself to this forum.

I have an E46 M3 and an E92 M3. I have an allocation for a 1M (AW, iPod, heated seats ONLY).

I would never sell the E46- is is such and involving and pure car to drive, but I have found the E92 (3.5 years, 29,000 miles) to be too big and too easy to drive in the real world. In short, not as much fun. The V8 is glorious and it is a great car, but I am just not in love with it.

So I am selling the E92 to get the 1M. Given the fun factor, untameness, beastly to drive, it is a better fit for me.

I'll be glad to write up a comparo of the 3 cars once I get the 1M.

Dan

I thought it was another one of those threads...

I have all three. I too find the e92 too soft and a lot less raw compare to my e46. If you like the e46 you're going to like the 1m. I find the 1m a cross between the e46 and e92. My e92 will be the first to go.

I feel the same regarding the E46 to the E92. Looking forward to your review of the 1M.

Congrats Daniel! Let us know your thoughts on the 1M.
Love your garage... I had a 328 GTS a few years ago.
GTB's are relatively rare.

Congrats on the 1M. I love the E46 3 series, I plan to keep mine forever. I wish I could have gotten the M version, but wasn't in the cards at the time.

I did the same thing, except I came from an e36 m3, two e46 m3's, and an e92 m3. I have not regretted my decision for one second. You will love it.

Yes, congrats, I almost did, but couldn't pull the trigger on the E90 M3. It just wasn't right for me. Too big, heavy, etc. Glad I followed my gut in the end and held out for the 1M.

I also loved my e46 but had to sell it to pay for the 1M. It would be nice if I could afford both since the E46 sedan is nice for carrying people. There were some very cools things about the M3, but BMW lost their way for a bit with the bigger heavier cars...now a X5M or X6M makes the E90 M3 sound svelte!

congratulations on the decision. I love the E9x V8 rumble... it would be a great all around car and a good sedan... but the 1M is for me. If I hadn't gotten a 1M allocation, then an E92 M3 would have been the consolation prize.
