Saw my first AW 1M on the road. Not quite what I expected.

BMW should have made a little more effort with the badge for the 1M.
They've used a box standard M-Badge!

In the last two days i've seen a 520i and a 3-compact with the same M-Sport badge.

I don't want to be seen as having the same badge as every
other "M-Wannabee"...!

I took a some heat for saying fake carbon mirror covers and bits were for posers....so I am not saying anything just LOL. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

Technically it isn't a 1M. That is the reason for the standard M badge it is a 1 Series M Coupe.

I wish I could have gotten more pics. The BMW Roundel was everywhere, the wheels (err, I mean hubcaps), the hood, etc...

I doubt they're being snarky. It's the same principle as the autozone fake stick on vents. People see something that they associate with money/power/performance/premium, whatever so they emulate it. Maybe they just don't realize how stupid it looks to people that actually know a little about that stuff.
