I get the looks (which I LOVE) but most people that have approached me know that it's an M Coupe. I think part of it might be that I have the only Coupe in Columbia (that I've seen outside the dealer anyway) eventhough Spartanberg is right up the street.

I actually have a Z3 M Coupe and I can tell you I get those comments all the time, alot of people are surprised its a BMW, the others that recognize the Z3 front end are just plain confused as to what it is. I have to be honest, I do rank that as one of my favorite features of the car (confusing the general public and all the great comments at gas stations

One of the first things I thought when I saw this car at the NY autoshow was that it really moved the Z4 into looking like an exotic car. It is very wide and low and has alot of curves and shape to it that come out a little more in the coupe form. In pictures I do think it looks kinda strage but in person it looks like an exotic, which I think fits this car alot better snce I think its going to be a mostly weekend car for alot of people |

I too get the looks. The day I took my Z4 M Coupe home from the dealer, my wife and I stopped by a Cingular store so I could upgrade my phone to something with bluetooth. While we were inside the store activating everything, I happened to look out in the parking lot, and there was a guy standing there taking pictures of my new toy with his cell phone camera. I pointed it out to my wife and I guess I was beaming like a proud papa, because my wife just rolled her eyes, and muttered something about "...unbearable"

Yeah, I've had people staring at it in parking lots on multiple occasions, i love it. Me and my wife were at a land rover dealer to check out the new LR2 and when we came out most of the salesmen were crouded around my M Coupe. It was beautiful!
