New 1M owner

Hi all , to introduce myself I will start with how I became a new owner.

I was looking for a few weeks for a 997 cs , luckily for me my local BMW garage had a used one in , as this meant I saw the new 1M coupe in all its glory , and was lucky enough to be able to purchase it , it was like the car was just sat there waiting for me

So 3 days later on the 30th June I collected my new AW 1 series m coupe and since ordering I have been an active lurker on here reading up and enjoying reading other people's stories

Hope to be active and enjoy this place as much as I am enjoying my new car

Thanks for the welcome !

Yes the car was intended for the dealer demo car so has a lot of the options ticked , the only thing I would have liked is electric folding mirrors

My car too (due in the next week or so) is the same - AW and was intended as dealer demo. I had the benefit of adjusting the spec prior to the order being locked by BMW however.

Get some more pics up at some point!

Congrats on the purchase, welcome to club ///M1.

It is pretty cool that you were a "walk up buyer", unlike most of us tragics that have been waiting since puting down money and expressions of interest at least 9 months back and as such have had to put up with BMs marketing prick teases since hahaha

The sales guy kept expressing "do you know how lucky you are to buy this" and then after joining here I did realise just how lucky I was to drop on it

I totally love the car , everything about the car exceeded my expectations , I actually bought without driving it first , so the initial drive put a huge smile on my face , having had a few 911's I can honestly say this is a better drive and much more fun

I can't think of anything that is below my expectations , unless I was being really picky the only thing I don't like is if you select random on the cd then make a phone call and go back random is not set , but the sweet sound of the exhaust is better than any music cd
