softest drop
335ix coming and would like to change the 4X4 look. What springs would give the drop and have the least change in ride.

coilovers are probably going to give you the softest drop imo. I had the "softest" of springs which were the Eibachs but they were still rough if you have 19" wheels/tires.

KW V3 will give you the most adjustability to be able to fine-tune your ride although they are the most expensive
I would strongly recommend upgrading your springs and shocks at the same time or going with a full coilover set up when upgrading your suspension |

It will be 18" wheels, I can see by the comments here that coilovers and bilsteins is the set up of choice. I've also had Eibachs both Sport and Pro on other cars, and agree the shocks need to be up to the task of the stiffer springs Just don't want expense and the warranty issues connected with the big set up. Any other experiences here to report? Last edited by Ctm309; 07-10-2011 at 10:59 AM.. |
