All UK 1M's Now Sold

I have just heard from my dealer that all 1M's are now sold. Apparently since the Top Gear TV review the phones have been ringing off the hook.

Amazing..some may not like JCs style of car reviews but he certainly has an impact on the buying public.

All allocated to the dealer network & customers probably, not necessarily sold. I know of at least 3x fully loaded (£46.5k) cars currently sat unregistered in dealer showrooms, that were for sale as of Saturday.

My dealer has told me exactly the same - "The 1M is now sold out".

Obviously you can buy from a dealer if they have one in their showroom, but you can no longer place a new car order for one. I don't think that they're all built though Kevin. I'm still waiting for my build week allocation and have been told to expect at least October, so if the car was already built, I'd expect it sooner than then.

Anyway, I'm hoping to hear this week as to whether I've definitely got one, but as I ordered in early June (before the Top Gear review) I should be OK. In fact, when I ordered, I was told that there were around 150 cars left. As at Monday last week (4th July), there were something like 39 cars left, so I should be OK.

Was told on friday when I picked up my car they had received an E -mail from BMW UK to say all sold

As per BBMW - Sure, be warned though that the showroom cars are fully loaded, so will have at least £5.5k worth of options on it! The cars I knew about (up until late last week) were at Lincoln, Croydon and Doncaster. Both AW apart from the VO car at Lincoln.

Doncaster don't have one , I bought their AW car on the 29th June

Do you have any idea of how long I will have to wait to hear if I have a confirmed allocation? I placed an order on 3rd July and was really hoping to have heard back by now. Thanks!

I ordered on the 13th June and haven't heard anything yet, but after popping into see my dealer yesterday, I was told that BMW UK have started going through all of the allocations from yesterday.

My dealer told me that I should know by the 14th/15th July as to what my build date is and he is now "just waiting for the email from BMW to confirm".

The Clarkson review was one of the most favorable towards the One Series ever. He liked the car alot, and even did a drag race with a Lotus Evora S and a Porsche Cayman.

BMW in Munich toldnme there are only 450 cars being sent to the UK. Incant remember how many to the US but, not many. The chance of seeing one here will be very slim.

Wow, well if those fully loaded cars are moving, then the chances of you getting a car are pretty slim. I've just dug out my spreadsheet of dealers who have offered me cars (I kept the details in case my order ever fell through or got lost etc), and I have; Bristol, Cardiff, and Shrewsbury offering me a build slot 2 weeks ago. Might be worth a try?

Just tried all of those - none too hopeful...

I have managed to track down a physical car but it's got pretty much everything on the options list, and to be honest i didn't want the extra weight! But if that's all that's available i'll have to have it

Blimey, well I retract my original statement then (!), it would appear that the hugely specced cars that have been sitting around for the past 2 months are all that's left, and they are now being snapped up!
