PDI charge in Canada
Hi to all Canadian 1M owners,
Just wondering how much did you pay for PDI at your dealership. This dealer is charging $2995 for M cars, and $2195 for regular cars. Thanks. |

Yes, but it is include in the cost of the car. In the US we have the notorious paper work fee that ranges from $199 - $599. This is to cover the 15 minutes of paper work the dealer does to register the car.

Thank you all for the information. freight plus pdi for $1400 it's cheap in Ottawa. I wonder if this is because I am in the West Coast. Anyway it's a money grab, I can't see that much, $800, difference between a M car and a regular car. You get carpets/floor mats but should not cost a $1000! I am going to fight it.

The dealership I did not go with was asking 2995.00 for freight and PDI with a firm price. The dealership I did go with was asking 2295.00 and was willing to negotiate. There is another local dealer asking the 2295.00, but in the end were not willing to give me the price I wanted. This was at the beginning of the year.

I got pinned for $1,295 for PID and $700 for freight, $349 for documents fee and another $249 for Globali.com registration fee.
Hmmm, from now on, I will never regret charging $1200 for PDI on the RVs I sell, I know our PDIs at least take over 14 hours on average. I paid for MSRP!!! But then I did tell the sales rep. that I prefer getting top services instead of the dealership having a heart ache everytime they see me come in. I think the suggested manufacturer PDI is $1295 and everything else depends on locations and circumstances. Definitely, I would question anything above $1295. Just my 2 cents. Can't wait to get mine, just ordered it last week. |
