OH snap! My dad's just bought one!
Sup guys!
My dad's new winter car will be a Black 1M with the Nav option! Can't wait to test it ! Is it me, or it seems like there is no problem getting one in Canada compared to the US or Europe?! |

rear wheel drive, monster torque, 340hp, and a back end that has a tendency to swing out?
sounds like a perfect solution for winter driving in Cananda I kid! Just jealous. Enjoy the ride

He's a brave man or he's a Stig. Wait, the Stig ran it off a racetrack in the summer ... so, no help there.

The 1M is a 135 the same way the M3 is a 335.

Driving a 135i isn't bad at all during the winter on a good set of performance winter or studless snow tires. With a LSD, it'd be a breeze. Plus, I'm sure up in Canada they take care of the roads in the winter and keep them relatively clear... and the 1M/135 similarities are much more significant than the M3/335.

Let's not get carried away. The M3 has a vastly different engine, the 1M does not.

You do realize that a Lotus Elise and a Toyota Corolla share the same engine as well right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Elise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1ZZ-FE#1ZZ-FE

I run my 135 in Syracuse (the snowiest city in conus)
It's not bad, but to make the hills in deep snow I need traction control to be full off. DTC cuts power on hills and will now bog down, TC full off keep it 3500 and you get the perfect amount of sheepskin for traction. Damn I need an LSD |

lol. He used to have a 330i and had no problem in the winter, as long as he had some Nokians on ! Nokian can really transform a car. Well, at 400$ a tire, I hope it does .
He drives a 997.5 C4S in the summer. (Can't go to work with it, people would be judging too much. That's how much Quebec City sucks for that lol). And Quebec's winter destroys cars and he wants to keep the 911 in good shape. |

Just curious, why would he buy a limited edition to destroy in the salted roads besides being unobvious to his work place? Like the 1M isn't obvious either, also, what is a 997.5 C4S? Never heard of one
