Smoker's pack made mistake last time

Hi guys

when I ordered my 1 series I made the mistake of deleting the smokers package which meant instead of the power socket in front of the gear shift and a cover I got an empty hole.

So noticing that Smoker's package delete is an option on the F10 what does it do?

My car has an Ashtray which I never use, which I pressume is the smokers pack. I did see another F10 the other day which had a drinks holder in it's place.

Not sure if it's the difference but it's worth asking your dealer (not that they will always know). no doubt someone else will be along with a definative answer.

There is very little difference my first F11 had the smokers pack and my current one I deleted it ..... instead of the lighter you get a power socket with a plastic plug (the shape of a lighter) and instead of the ash tray its a storage hole exactly the same size. You get the two drinks holders either side of the socket/lighter whichever way you spec.

Hope that helps

Be very careful this is for an Auto Transmission only, if you have a manual and de-select the smoker pack you will lose the power socket and get a nice coin holder instead.

Several colleagues on manual cars who deleted the smokers pack. As far as I know they still have the power socket

Obvisually getting info from the Dealer is a waste of time! Gutted as I didn't want the ashtrays in the back door pockets but dealer advised if I de-selected Smoker pack I would lose the front socket.
Sometimes they just can't be bothered to help unless there's something in it for them!!!!!!!
