do it, just did my trim came out perfect make sure you do more than one coat and also make sure the paint doesn't stick to the masking tape that you use, after you peel of the tape what happens sometimes is that the plasti dip dries along with the tape and when you pull the tape off it also pulls the plasti dip along lol

Any tips on how to avoid having the paint stick to the tape if you are doing multiple coats?

I had a lot of pasti dip sticking to the paint. I did my grills as well and those turned out pretty well. I had trouble getting one of the upper grills out the screw just kept turning...not sure why. I'm redoing my trim today

a sharp blade will help and try to peel of the paint for the coat dries up so it won't stick with another layer

Do light coats too. Don't get trigger happy.

I just did this to my father's XJ....completely changed the front end.

Gloss black around the upper grill and lower side slats. The inner chrome circle will be wrapped gloss black tomorrow as well. Plastidip on the upper and lower center grills.

I keep telling my dad those chrome mirrors need to go :/
