4 questions about the e92...
The e92's been out long enough now that I hope these questions will be easy to answer:
1 - How much longer is the e92's front doors than the e90's? I'm wondering if the doors are noticeably longer when getting in & out of the car in a crowded parking lot. 2 - How roomy are the front & back seats relative to the e90? 3 - How much bigger is the trunk than the e90's? 4 - How's the road/wind noise relative to the e90? I'm wondering if the frameless windows make a difference here. I tried searching but too many threads came back when using e90 & 92 as subjects.

Not to be a smart azz, but why don't you go down to your friendly dealer and test drive an E92. All your questions will be answered. Especially, since perception of space and room are personal and while someone may think the seats are comfy for them, you might find it a tight squeeze.
Most of the interior dimensions and capacities can be obtained from a website like Edmunds or KBB.

Also, why would you think that the trunk of e92 is larger than the e90's? |

Go to one of the several dealerships in MD and have them park an e90 next to an e92 for you.

took me 15 secs to find out that the trunk on the 335 sedan is 12 cubic feet, compared with 11.1 for the coupe.
this isnt the only place on the internets for bmw info.

I figured the trunk of the e92 would be bigger since the e92 is 3" longer than the e90 (see, I have been trying to find this onfo on my own ). I've never seen any place that mentions the door length. As for seating dimensions, I'm actually looking for subjective opinions. Official dimensions of seats aren't always directly comparable to real world application.

That's precisely the reason why I suggested seeing for your self. What others perceive may not represent your own idea of what roomy or tight would be.

Doors on 2 door cars are almost always longer than 4 door so someone can get in the back seat. I agree see for yourself if it works for you in person. That's the only way to really get a feel for it.

Cant answer anything comparatively (sorry) because I don't have an e90 in the garage to go compare to...
But, I can tell you that the doors of the e92 are VERY long... often it is difficult to get in/out where some fool has parked too close to you. But even if that's not the case, the length of the doors still makes entry/exit quite a challenge. My garage is average width and when I open the e92 door it has to rest against the garage wall to allow me to get in. My back brushes the car and my front brushes the inside of the door. hope this caveat might help in some small way... to sumarise: e92 = BIG doors!!!

fueledbymetal: Look up the Susan Komen Ultimate drive schedule for your area (either on BMW's website or NCC BMWCCA). You would have all the E92/93 seat time you require to best answer your questions while helping a good cause.
I sense an upgrade consideration in the works...didnt' you take delivery

Yep - upgrade considerations I'm trying to decide between the e92 M3 or wait an extra (or however long it takes) year for the e90 M3. I need to lay the ground work early to convince the wife, so I want to make sure the subtle hints I drop are consistant.

I agree, take a trip to the closest dealership and see for yourself. Numbers don't always give you a good indicator. But if you're looking for numbers...

Holy crap that's long! I was hoping for 3-4" tops. Like SA 325i Coupe, I have a regular size garage and my door is within a few mm of the wall when I open it.

If you can wait 2 weeks, I'll take a ruler to mine when I pick it up at PCD.

Oh, enjoy you PCD! You should definitely have a blast. You also picked a good time of year - you should be able to see some nice spring scenery along your drive back.
