bought a Performance Steering wheel today

I am not sure if anybody here already did this.

I am really annoyed with the blue/red stitching of the M steering wheel. Every time I look at the dash I see the orange stitching on top, and the blue/red stitching of the steering wheel. BMW really should have put in a steering wheel with black or even better, orange stitching.

So, today I bough a BMW Performance steering wheel, the normal one, no display. I will now have the white stitching replaced by orange. What I am doubting about is the yellow leather stripe on top of the wheel. Yellow is for sure not an option. Or it is replaced by a piece of orange leather, or I have it removed completely. Not sure....

BMW should offer this themselves (the same with the performance seats with orange stitching).

That sounds like a really cool mod. I would do the orange stitching and an orange stripe on the perf wheel. While you are at it.. Why not have orange stitching done to the shifter bag too! I think that would really look nice. I can't wait to see your pics!

Thought about doing this as well but pricey...
I would change the center tape to orange and the stitching to orange as well.

nope, it is the performance one but with orange stitching, fortunately. Otherwise for sure I would have had it changed

lol. I will. I decided to go for the orange stitching and orange leather on 12:00. It will take some time before I will receive it though... hopefully I will get it before I go on holidays in 2.5 weeks... otherwise I have something nice waiting for me when coming back

Just an idea and worth a try before you remove the white stitching, how about giving an orange permanent marker texture a go and see how that turns out, I did this with white stitching with red and if did the job, so maybe worth a try perhaps.........

Not sure if I like the whole thing with the marker... especially on a steering wheel which is used with sweaty hands...

so you got rid of the blue and red... but got back white and yellow... too many colors for me still :-)
Alcantara really looks good and fits the interior perfectly.
