Here are a few photos taken of my VO 1M in overcast and sunny conditions. I hope this provides an accurate representation of the color's nuances in different lighting conditions for those still undecided.

That VO looks stunning! Especially in the low light shots! Neat idea! I always wondered why there was such a discrepancy in the VO pictures on this forum. Some looked orange while others looked reddish. (Or perhaps thats due to the camera.)

I meant variations of other user's cameras. It is quite amazing how much the light affects the appearance of the color.

I still have yet to see a 1M in person.

I'll bet BMW does that with the M2 sometime down the road.

I wonder how much variation Metallic Blue would get in various lighting conditions.

Kind of looks like bmw's "crimson red" color in the shade, and mitsubishi's orange "rotor glow metallic" in the sun. interestinggg

I saw my first 1M at the dealer yesterday.

VO being off loaded and brought to the delivery center. It was raining, but it was a daylight rain, so the car was wet and shiny...so much sex

Much of the color difference in photos is due to the camera's calculation of what it "thinks" the color temperature should be.

If you were using a grey card to custom-calibrate the white balance for each situation (direct sunlight, shade, overcast, etc.), and also to prevent the camera from miscalibrating based on background colors, the car would look 1) more true to life, and 2) more consistent from one picture to the next.
