Is it possible to retrofit 2011 angel eyes on a 2008 3 series?

I\'ve never modded my lighting but have seen several newer 3 and 5 series with crazy bright white angel eyes. I know these are factory and am wondering if anyone has doe the retrifit and, if so, whats involved. Thanks in advance.

So it is the anything is possible answer given enough money. You would need the new headlight assemblies and the new bumper and a lot of work trying to make the wiring all work, so basically it is almost as cheap to just trade it in for a new car. They completely redesigned the headlight and the way it lights the rings with separate LED's per ring. It might be possible to hack up a set of new headlights and get the parts out and clue them into your old headlights, but it is a lot of cost and may turn out badly. Your money is much better spent on the best H8 upgrade you can get or something like the OSS led ring replacements (which are cooler anyway!)

You should look into getting some LUX AE or as stated some OSS if you want less yellow. It's a lot cheaper than changing the front bumper/headlights/hood just to get brighter AE.

Agreed. If you're feeling really adventurous, you could "do it yourself" by purchasing bulk LED's, attaching them to the rings, and soldering (obviously I'm missing a few steps, but you get the idea...OSS rings, but doing it yourself)

Here's a thread showing an example of DIY LED rings. They look great so far! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567644
